Thank you and a wish

After the inability of getting Microsoft Money working on Windows 7, I tried a few desktop personal finance management applications and online applications - I have to say that the simplicity of Arixcel and its functionality has me hooked. A brilliant application that does what it says simply and without a bloated installation.
One wish/suggestion - could it be possible for transactions in credit card accounts to be debits by default. At present any transactions downloaded from my credit card account in .qif format have all transactions as credits - thus the balance of the account is positive - I have to manually alter all transactions to debits in order to get a correct balance sheet.

Sumeet, thanks for your post and sorry for the late response.

We will double check that Arixcel works on Windows 7. Thanks for letting us know about the issue.

With regards to the qif format, it is generally not reliable as banks interpret it differently. Most banks would put credit card transactions as negative amounts, but apparently your bank treats them as positive. If you cannot download data in the ofx format (which would be the preferred solution), you could multily it in Excel by -1, by copying -1 and pasting it special and selecting "multiply".

But this is a good point, and we will consider providing for the automatic sign change as an option in the qif import window in the next version of the program.

Do not hesitate to post here if you have any other issues or problems.

Thanks for your reply.
I am using Arixcel on 32 Bit Excel 2010 (RTM) running on 64 bit Windows 7. Works absolutely fine.
You are correct, my bank only allows for .qif downloads and treats credit card amounts as positive.
It is not to difficult to manually change the transactions to negative values in Arixcel when only a few are downloaded. However, it was a pain when I was setting it up for the first time and downloaded nearly 6 months worth of transactions.

Hi Sumeet! We have now added the option to change the sign of transactions during QIF import in version 1.28 of Arixcel Accounts.

Please download and install it from here.

You do not need to select each positive transaction separately in ordre to change them to a negative one: simply select the range of numbers to want to change, click on Number / Custom, select 0.00 and put a - in front of it; all your positive numbers will change to negative.
